Renting a motorhome is one of the best ways to explore the world – with the comfort of a home on four wheels. It offers you the freedom of movement, closeness to nature, and the opportunity to spontaneously discover places you might otherwise never visit. However, before you set off, it’s important to know the basics: how to choose the right motorhome, what the rental includes, and what to pay attention to for a carefree experience.
1. Choosing the Right Vehicle
We offer various motorhome models – from smaller compact ones to larger family-sized vehicles. When choosing, consider the following factors:
-
Number of people – How many passengers will be traveling? Each bed must be comfortable and safe.
-
Vehicle length and height – Do you prefer maneuverability and easier parking, or do you need more storage space, movement, and comfort?
-
Equipment – Do you want built-in air conditioning, a larger refrigerator, solar panels for greater energy independence, or winter accessories (heating, insulation)?
➡️ For an easier decision, you can view our motorhome offer here, where all models, layouts, and technical specifications are described in detail.

3. Tips before pickup
To make the start of your journey as relaxed as possible, we recommend preparing well for pickup. Here are some simple but important steps:
Inspect the vehicle with our staff – we walk around the motorhome, check its condition, and, if desired, photograph any existing scratches or damage. This helps avoid potential misunderstandings upon return.
Ask for an explanation of all functions – we are happy to explain how to empty the WC cassette, use the heating, set up electricity, operate the gas system, connect water, and more.
Come prepared – this way, pickup will only take 10–15 minutes. However, if you arrive without a prior viewing, it can take considerably longer.
4. Common beginner mistakes
Overly packed schedule – motorhome travel is free, but slower. Take your time and don’t plan too much in one day.
Not enough time for setting up and packing away – each move requires its own rhythm: disconnecting electricity, emptying water, stowing equipment…
Wrong choice of campsites – always check in advance whether the campsite accepts motorhomes at all, and whether they have hook-ups for water, electricity, and wastewater disposal.
5. Where to travel?
Not sure where to go? No problem – we are happy to advise you on routes, campsites, and stopovers.
From the beautiful Alpine valleys to the Slovenian coast, Croatian Istria, or nearby Italy – there are truly many possibilities for exploration.
